Dear Sisters,

Our lesson this week was from Sister Greta Summers and was from the following Conference talks:
-Approaching the Throne of God with Confidence by Elder Jorg Klebingat (October 2014) and
-Like a Broken Vessel by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland (October 2013).
We had a great discussion about our intellectual, physical, spiritual and social health and how we can respond when we are challenged in some of those areas.  Elder Holland says: “… never lose faith in your Father in Heaven, who loves you more than you can comprehend. … That love never changes. … It is there for you when you are sad or happy, discouraged or hopeful. God’s love is there for you whether or not you feel you deserve [it]. It is simply always there.” Never, ever doubt that, and never harden your heart. Faithfully pursue the time-tested devotional practices that bring the Spirit of the Lord into your life. Seek the counsel of those who hold keys for your spiritual well-being. Ask for and cherish priesthood blessings. Take the sacrament every week, and hold fast to the perfecting promises of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Believe in miracles.”
Next week’s lesson will be given by Sister Pam Eames.

Dear Sisters,
Our lesson this week was on Chapter 23 of the Joseph Fielding Smith manual, titled Individual Responsibility.
President Smith said:
“It is my duty, as it is your duty, my brethren and my sisters likewise—for responsibility is placed also upon you—to do the very best that is within our power, and not to shirk, but endeavor with all our soul to magnify the callings the Lord has given us, to labor diligently for the salvation of our own house, each one of us, and for the salvation of our neighbors, the salvation of those who are abroad.”
We should ask ourselves the following questions as we read and study this lesson.
-What can we do to help children be more responsible?
-What can we do to be more self-reliant?
Next week’s lesson will be Chapter 25 from the Joseph Fielding Smith manual, titled The Birth of Jesus Christ: “Good Tidings of Great Joy”

Dear Sisters,
Our lesson this week was on the Defining Moments that we have in our lives that make us who we are.  These defining moments are moments of personal revelation for us.  They are moments of guidance from our Heavenly Father and moments that shape us into who Heavenly Father wants us to be.
We watched this video from Elder Uchtdorf and a couple of quotes from the lesson are as follows:
“You are something divine—more beautiful and glorious than you can possibly imagine. This knowledge changes everything. It changes your present. It can change your future. And it can change the world.  You are no ordinary beings, my beloved young friends all around the world. You are glorious and eternal. …“It is my prayer and blessing that when you look at your reflection, you will be able to see beyond imperfections and self-doubts and recognize who you truly are: glorious sons and daughters of the Almighty God” (The Reflection in the Water ~ Dieter F. Uchtdorf ~ CES fireside ~ November 1st, 2009)
“My dear friends, you are a royal generation. You were preserved to come to the earth in this time for a special purpose. Not just a few of you, but all of you. There are things for each of you to do that no one else can do as well as you. If you do not prepare to do them, they will not be done. Your mission is unique and distinctive for you. Please don’t make another have to take your place. He or she can’t do it as well as you can. If you will let Him, I testify that our Father in Heaven will walk with you through the journey of life and inspire you to know your special purpose here.”  (Your Life Has a Purpose ~ Bishop H. Burke Peterson ~ New Era ~ May 1979)
