Announcements 12/7

Announcements

Dear Sisters,
Our lesson this week was on the Defining Moments that we have in our lives that make us who we are.  These defining moments are moments of personal revelation for us.  They are moments of guidance from our Heavenly Father and moments that shape us into who Heavenly Father wants us to be.
We watched this video from Elder Uchtdorf and a couple of quotes from the lesson are as follows:
“You are something divine—more beautiful and glorious than you can possibly imagine. This knowledge changes everything. It changes your present. It can change your future. And it can change the world.  You are no ordinary beings, my beloved young friends all around the world. You are glorious and eternal. …“It is my prayer and blessing that when you look at your reflection, you will be able to see beyond imperfections and self-doubts and recognize who you truly are: glorious sons and daughters of the Almighty God” (The Reflection in the Water ~ Dieter F. Uchtdorf ~ CES fireside ~ November 1st, 2009)
“My dear friends, you are a royal generation. You were preserved to come to the earth in this time for a special purpose. Not just a few of you, but all of you. There are things for each of you to do that no one else can do as well as you. If you do not prepare to do them, they will not be done. Your mission is unique and distinctive for you. Please don’t make another have to take your place. He or she can’t do it as well as you can. If you will let Him, I testify that our Father in Heaven will walk with you through the journey of life and inspire you to know your special purpose here.”  (Your Life Has a Purpose ~ Bishop H. Burke Peterson ~ New Era ~ May 1979)
Next weeks lesson will be chapter 23 in the Joseph Field Smith manual titled Individual Responsibility.
