Dear Sisters,
Our lesson this week was on Chapter 23 of the Joseph Fielding Smith manual, titled Individual Responsibility.
President Smith said:
“It is my duty, as it is your duty, my brethren and my sisters likewise—for responsibility is placed also upon you—to do the very best that is within our power, and not to shirk, but endeavor with all our soul to magnify the callings the Lord has given us, to labor diligently for the salvation of our own house, each one of us, and for the salvation of our neighbors, the salvation of those who are abroad.”

We should ask ourselves the following questions as we read and study this lesson.

Next week’s lesson will be Chapter 25 from the Joseph
Fielding Smith manual, titled The Birth of Jesus Christ: “Good Tidings
of Great Joy”

Ward Christmas Party- Thursday, December 18th. Dinner and Santa
Claus will begin at 6:30 with ward talent show afterwards! PLEASE NOTE:
this will be at the Caldwell East Stake Center on Linden. (Also note,
Santa is NOT coming before the dinner at 6:00 as was previously
announced.)
Baptism- Please join Sister Cindy Philips on Saturday, December
20th at our Stake Center as she is baptized as the newest member of our
church. The service will begin at 6:00 PM
2015 manuals- We will be learning from President Ezra Taft Benson
in Relief Society and Priesthood next year. New manuals are
available. The church is encouraging us to use our mobile devices if
you have them, but if you need an actual paper manual, we do have a few
available. Those wishing to donate $2 for the cost of the manuals may
do so on their tithing slips (this is not a requirement though).
New Church Schedule- Starting in January, our ward will move to the 1:00 time slot.
