Announcements

Dear Sisters,
Today’s lesson came from the following General Conference talks:
The Reason for Our Hope By President Boyd K. Packer
Free Forever, to Act for Themselves By Elder D. Todd Christofferson
Approaching the Throne of God with Confidence By Elder Klebingat
We have our agency and we can choose everyday to apply the Atonement in our lives and receive the blessings that come from doing so.  We have agency, therefore we make mistakes.  Those mistakes require repentance of us.
Elder Christofferson says, “My plea is simply to take responsibility and go to work so that there is something for God to help us with.”

Announcements:  Needy Families for Christmas- Beginning today, in the High Priest room, there will be slips of paper with gift ideas for needy families in our ward.  If you would like to help someone within our ward boundaries, feel free to pick up a piece of paper.

Hymns of Thanksgiving- Tonight, Sunday, November 23rd 7:30 PM (doors open at 6:30). NO tickets required and it is free. What a beautiful program to celebrate Thanksgiving with.  Click here for more details.

December Enrichment- Dec 2nd 7 PM. “Your Favorite Things” Bring a favorite thing of yours to give as a gift. (A favorite food, book, cleaning supply, etc… anything!!!)  We will have a great night!  Plan to join us!

Ward Christmas Party- Thursday, December 18th.  Santa will be there from 6:00-6:45.  Please plan your evening accordingly with Santa. Dinner begins at 6:30 with ward talent afterwards! PLEASE NOTE: this will be at the Caldwell East Stake Center on Linden.

Visiting Teaching- Final week to do your visiting teaching!  Make sure you visit with your sisters and if they are in need of something or if you have any concerns about them, please report it to your supervisor so that those needs can be addressed. The monthly message for the month of November is a Conference talk that you should choose based on your sisters needs.

Stake Youth Shoe Drive- The Stake youth have decided to take on a shoe drive for the benefit of building a well in Africa. Their goal is 2000 pairs of shoes per ward and they have until December 10th to accomplish this goal. The shoes will be sold in Tanzania, Africa and 100% of the money will go to constructing a well in Burkina Faso, Africa. Shoes of any style or size (as long as they are still wearable and clean) can be given to the YM or YW presidency members in our ward, or you can call the youth in the ward and they will come and pick them up. The youth will be able to watch a video of the constructing of the well, and of the people from Burkina Faso.

Turkey Drive- For our Humanitarian project in the month of December, pick up an extra frozen turkey (or ham) while you are out doing your holiday grocery shopping for the men's and women's shelters in Nampa. The turkeys/hams will be collected in the church parking lot on Tuesday, December 2nd between 6 and 7 p.m. This means you can drop off your turkey on your way to Enrichment, no need for an extra trip!  Contact Sharlee Hatch (or any member of the humanitarian committee) with further questions.

Birthdays- Happy Birthday to
Sister Abby Hughes on the 28th and Sister Shera Rowley on the 29th.
Wahoo- hope you have a great one ladies!
Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving this week!  We hope that you enjoy time to be with family and that you travel safely if you are going anywhere.  Take time to be thankful for the things that you have and for this time in your life.  These videos from the church should help you get into the spirit of Thanksgiving. Enjoy!  Thanksgiving Daily In The Spirit of Thanksgiving

Love,
Sister Pam Eames
Sister Nichole Aldous
