Sunday's lesson

Sisters, as you read and ponder this upcoming Sunday lesson throughout the week please consider the following questions and come prepared to share you thoughts and impressions: How does the story of the stripling warriors (found in Alma ch 53-56)relate to the atonement and finding personal strength through our savior? How do we in modern days build spiritual fortifications between our vulnerabilities and our faithfulness? Visiting Teaching and announcement correction

Hi Sisters,   New visiting teaching assignments were handed out toward the end of November/beginning of December and I keep hearing that there are several of you that never received your slip. We want to make sure you have current information for your VT companion and the sisters you visit, so if you haven't received a new slip within the last 2 months, please respond to this e-mail so we can be sure to get that to you! :)   We also need to clear up the announcement made on Sunday...the fireside being held this coming Sunday by Elder Erickson is actually only for Ward Council members so please disregard that information from that announcement.   Thanks Sisters! Hi Sisters!   We hope you all have enjoyed the Christmas holiday with your loved ones! 2013 Christmas Devotional

To me it just doesn't feel like the Christmas Season can start until I've watched the Christmas Devotional from the First Presidency. Before we had the convenience of watching it from a computer, I remember as a very small child being a little confused as to why we had to go back to the church at night for "more church" but I recall the special spirit that was felt while listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and listening to the words of our Prophets and feeling the spirit testify of our savior Jesus Christ. If you weren't able to watch it this year, there's still time. How blessed we are to have living prophets today that we can listen to and feel of their love and their testimony of the true meaning of Christmas.

Primary Project: Family Photo

Sisters,   Please see the e-mail below from the Primary Presidency.   Nampa 36th Ward,   The theme for primary next year is Families are Forever.  We are trying to collect family pictures from everyone in the ward, even if you do not have children in the primary!:)  We would love for the picture to have your whole family in it.  It can either be a professional photo, or one that you have just taken yourself!  It doesn't matter, as long as it includes your whole family.  We want to have as many as we can before Christmas, so please take a minute and email us a picture to the email below.  Thanks so much!   -Primary Presidency
